“This trailer does it all,” said Kloepfer. “If a trucker has two loads going to two different locations, this trailer can do it. If he shows up at the tipper and there is a line up to get on, he has the option of unloading almost 5000 cubic feet of product in less than 10 minutes. If the load is frozen, the operator can change the direction of the Walking Floor system on the lead trailer and unload it through the front of the trailer!”
The secret to creating this 62’8” long trailer is the hydraulic system that brings the two trailers together. “With the rising cost of doing business, we heard that truckers were looking for ways to reduce their operational costs especially fuel consumption.”
Titan knew that their smoothside THINWALL™ Trailers were already providing their customers with fuel savings up to 15% over traditional post and panel trailers. So they decided to go bigger. That meant carrying more volume with the same amount of fuel. And all that had to be done inside the confines of Transport Canada Highway Regulations.
Kloepfer reports that the new B-Train, with all the advantages of THINWALL™ built-in, has the carrying capacity of approximately 25% more than a Titan 53’ Tipper or live floor trailer. “From a productivity standpoint, this means that with every 4 loads you haul now using a 53 foot trailer, you get the equivalent of a free load. Combine this with the flexibility of not having to wait in line for the tipper or taking a split load, you now have something that will increase your volume, reduce your cycle time and save you money.”
Furthermore, according to Kloepfer, “Unlike other B-Train end or side dumps, our Walk-Thru™ trailer equipped with a live floor system can self-unload whatever it is that you are hauling in a straight pile. Alternatively, it can go on a tipper platform. This makes it one of the most versatile trailers in the hauling industry.”

Titan Trailers knew that this trailer performed on paper. However, in keeping with their business philosophy of making sure that everything works in the real world, proving it in the unseasonably warm January weather of Southwestern Ontario was not enough. Mike Kloepfer and Rick Lees, Titan’s Product Specialist hooked up the Walk-Thru™ B-Train and drove it 1000 miles north where winter weather conditions of -30 degrees were almost daily. They put this unit through its paces there. “Not only did it do everything we thought it would do,” said Lees, “all the cold weather testing went off without a hitch. Whether unloading the trailer together or separately or putting them on the tipper, everything went as planned. This will provide haulers with the flexibility and increased productivity they need to increase their profitability.”
